Tmatyka badawcza

-        Ewaluacja systematyczna i filogenetyczna chrząszczy kusakowatych (Coleoptera, Staphylinidae) na podstawie cech morfologicznych, anatomicznych, biochemicznych i molekularnych różnych stadiów rozwojowych – weryfikacja statusu taksonów i budowanie naturalnego systemu klasyfikacji w oparciu o pokrewieństwa filogenetyczne.

-        Taksonomia grzybów symbiotycznych związanych z mrówkami saproksylicznymi z rodzaju Lasius.

-        Zmienność mikrobiomu owadów, głównie chrząszczy, w aspekcie ich pozycji systematycznej, specjalizacji środowiskowych i troficznych oraz cech fizjologicznych – gatunki myremkofilne, saproksyliczne oraz zoofagiczne.

-        Biologia chrząszczy, głównie z rodziny kusakowatych (Coleoptera; Staphylinidae) oparta na obserwacjach terenowych i laboratoryjnych - cykle życiowe, fenologia, wybrane aspekty ekologii i behawioru.

-        Różnorodność biologiczna, z elementami zoogeografii i ekologii chrząszczy Polski.

-        Aktywność biologiczna substancji pochodzenia zwierzęcego w stosunku do wybranych patogenów pszczoły miodnej i ludzi oraz niektórych linii komórek nowotworowych.
