Scientific Activity
My research activity focuses on Legume plants (e.g. peas, vetch, clover), which are an important component of human food and are used in agriculture as fodder plants. The symbiosis of legumes and atmospheric nitrogen-fixing bacteria (Rhizobium sp.) provides plants with an easily digestible source of nitrogen, which makes their cultivation independent of the use of artificial nitrogen fertilizers.
