The students of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University may apply for a place in a dormitory for the holiday period in the academic year 2024/2025.
Who can apply?
A student or PhD student who during the summer:
- is undertaking an internship,
- is conducting research (including work necessary to prepare a thesis),
- is unable to return to their home country,
- has taken up summer employment (confirmed by a certificate from the employer)
When and how to apply?
- Applications can be submitted from June 9 to June 25, 2025.
- Download the application form (Annex No. 13) for dormitory accommodation from the list of the attachments below
Where to submit the application?
- To the administration office of the dormitory where the UMCS student or PhD candidate currently resides.
- If the student or PhD candidate is not currently living in any UMCS dormitory, the application should be submitted to the administration office of the dormitory where they wish to stay during the summer period.
What should be attached to the application?
- A declaration confirming participation in an internship
- A certificate from the employer
- Another document confirming the necessity of staying in the dormitory during the summer break.
PLEASE NOTE! Submitting an application does not guarantee a place in the dormitory during the summer period.
Fees
- The deposit for the summer period in the 2024/2025 academic year is PLN 400.
- If you currently live in a UMCS dormitory – your existing deposit will be used for summer accommodation and later refunded after fulfilling the dormitory regulations.
- If you do not currently live in a dormitory – you must pay the deposit by June 30, 2025.
- Accommodation payments should be made to the individual bank account previously used for dormitory payments, by the 15th of each month, and will be calculated proportionally to the length of stay.
- Payments for accommodation in the Student Residence Halls shall be made according to the price list for the 2024/2025 academic year.

- Dormitory “Amor” – 50 places
- Dormitory “Babilon” – 70 places
- Dormitory “Ikar” – 240 places
- Dormitory “Jowisz” – 30 places
- Dormitory “Kronos” – 60 places
- Dormitory “Zana” – 50 places
UMCS students/PhD candidates will be accommodated during the summer period only in double rooms.
