Doctoral Studies in Literature and Linguistics

Marie Curie-Skłodowska University's (UMCS) Faculty of Humanities invites candidates to a four-year doctoral (Ph.D.) programme in literary studies, cultural studies, and linguistics, with English as the language of instruction. All relevant information and guidance here.

For your basic orientation, the academic year in Poland lasts:

• Semester 1: from the beginning of October to the end of January (plus the examination session in late Jan/early Feb);
• Semester 2: from mid-February till the end of May/early June (plus the examination session in June).
