Born December 13, 1974, Lublin, Poland. 1994-1999: graduate studies (philosophy); MA thesis „Foundations of Computational Natural Language Understanding” (1999) in philosophy written at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, Director: Jacek Paśniczek. 2000-2006 held a position as a Research Assistant at the Department of Logic and Philosophy of Science, Faculty of Philosophy and Sociology, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. PhD thesis „The Cognitive Model of the Language Faculty” (2005) in Cognitive Science written at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin under the direction of Jacek Paśniczek. The dissertation was awarded the TPKN and the Batory Foundation prize for the outstanding PhD Dissertations in Social Sciences and Humanities in 2006. Since 2006 an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and Sociology, MSCU in Lublin. Member of the Polish Society for Cognitive Science,Cognitive Science Society and the International Association for Cognitive Semiotics.
He is the Director of the Institute of Philosophy, Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin since October 2019.
