One-year preparatory course for foreigners

One – year preparatory course is designed for Poles living abroad and foreign students willing to prepare for university studies in Poland. The course offers intensive classes of the Polish language for beginners. Deadline for applications: September 10.

Dates:

The course starts on 1 October 2017 and ends on 30 June 2018. It is divided into two semesters. Classes are held from Monday to Friday. The weekly number of classes is 24 hours ( 4 – 5 hours daily).

Total number of the course: 820 hours a year.

Academic program:

All classes will be held at the main building of CJKP, ul. Weteranów 18, Lublin.

In teaching Polish we have adopted a communication approach in the eclectic form, with the starting point focused on everyday situations that students may encounter in Poland. The effect is acquisition of the language enabling students to start communication and accomplish their intentions appropriately to the context. In the second semester we are going to teach specialist Polish related to the future direction of students’ studies. The authors’ programs are in conformity with the European Standards of Language Teaching and the examination standards of the National Certification Committee of Polish as a Foreign Language. The teachers have a good command of English. 

The course ends in the summer session with the final examinations. Course participants are awarded certificates of attendance including their examination results, and they apply individually for enrollment to further university studies.

Besides having classes our students can take advantage of the wide range of cultural, tourist and sports activities. Under the supervision of teachers they can practice sports, participate in trips and tours, walk regularly to the philharmonic hall and theatre.

Fees:

The fee for the course is EUR 2,200 per person and only includes the cost of tuition. The fee must be transferred to the account of the Centre before the commencement of the course and is not refundable in the case of resignation from the course.
