This year UMCS Rector's Merit Awards were awarded to the 35 best UMCS students. Awards are given in 4 categories: academic achievement, artistic achievements, sports excellence and contribution to academic community/ social work. Competition was very steep this year as 260 students applied. Among awarded students were: Bouleghmane Hamza, Fujita Ryo, Kas Özge, Mhodi Nolwazi, Hasanli Rashid, all from International Relations MA Program at Political Science Faculty.
