Programme description

This interdisciplinary programme combines courses in linguistics, literature, history, and cultural/media studies. Focusing on the cultures of English-speaking countries, it develops the students’ communication skills and cultural literacy. Students are offered intensive English language training and develop knowledge of literatures, media, history and politics of countries such as the United States of America, the United Kingdom, and Canada.

The extensive syllabus enables students to develop critical skills in analysis and interpretation of cultural texts and to improve their writing and speaking abilities. The graduates will achieve proficiency in English at C1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

They will acquire skills and competences preparing them for work in such sectors as translation and interpreting, training and coaching, journalism/ publishing, copy-editing, tourism, corporate services, public relations, marketing, advertising, and business communication. The programme is addressed to both Polish and non-Polish students.

Tuition fee

2 000 EUR per year + 200 EUR (admission fee)

Tuition fee also applies to Polish and EU citizens as well as holders of a Polish Charter (Karta Polaka)

Entry requirements The programme is addressed to candidates holding a secondary school diploma. Admission of candidates is based on the grades obtained in the final exams at secondary school. Prospective students register online in the online registration system IRK and file all the necessary documents within the deadline or until all the places available have been filled.
