Double Degree Program

Double Degree Program  to be opened at the  Political Science Faculty, UMCS in 2016/2017. 

Double Degree Program (Program), organized with several universities in Ukraine,  will  allow students to study both at UMCS and in Ukrainian higher education institutions. 

  • Double Degree Program is offered at the master's level  in Political Science, International Relations, Journalism and Social Communications. 
  • Students spend 2 semesters in each university; both universities mutually recognize students credits obtained from the other institution.  
  • Program is opened to students with undergraduate degrees (diploma grade 4.0 and higher) and B-1  level command of languages in which Program is conducted. 
  • Individual study plan might be developed for a student, depending on his/her needs.  
  • Students in the program study at the partner institution tuition free.  Costs of travel, food and accommodation as well as costs of medical insurance are covered by the student. 
  • Requirements for the diploma from partner institution: minimum 2 semester studies at the partner institutions, positive evaluation in all the courses required by the partner institution study program (including courses transferred from student’s own Institution,  obtaining all the required by partner institution study effects and ETCS , successful participation in the master's seminar, completion of the internships required by the study program, preparing and  writing and successful defense of the master's thesis as well as diploma final exam. 
  • Students in the Program write and defend final master's thesis in both partner institutions.  
  • The language of study and of final thesis is the language of instruction in each partner institution.
  • Students will graduate with two master's degrees; from UMCS and from Ukrainian partner institution.
