The first International Scientific Conference of the Centre of Eastern Europe

ikcewThe first International Scientific Conference of the Centre of Eastern Europe took place on June 16 – 17, 2011. It concerned the financial and socio-political projects of modernization of society in the period of economic destabilization. The leading subject of the Conference was conducting post-crisis economic politics in the new financial and economic situation. Furthermore, launching the socio-political projects of modernization of society as the answer to new economic conditions was discussed. The participants of the conference had the chance to present their own conclusions and comments on the world financial crisis, especially the recent one from 2008.

A number of prominent scientists both from Poland and abroad took place in the Conference. Among them were the mayor of Lublin Krzysztof Żuk PhD, MP Magdalena Gąsior-Marek, pro-vice chancellor of MCSU professor Stanisław Chibowski, the dean of the Humanities Faculty professor Henryk Gmiterek and the representatives from scientific communities. The first day of the debate was rewarded with ceremonial dinner which was funded by the mayor of Lublin. On the next day, sponsor Martin Panasiuk from Zamość invited the guests for ceremonial dinner. The debate was conducted in pleasant atmosphere. The tangible result of the conference was the conclusion made at the end of the debate.
